Our Garden

The Walled Garden at Laverstoke Park Farm Is a brick walled kitchen garden situated against the northern boundary of Laverstoke Park. The garden dates back to Victorian times and incorporates the picturesque gardener’s house built in 1851.

Our seasonal organic fruit, vegetables and herbs are supplied direct to our farm shop daily.

The apples from the orchards are picked, sorted and sent to the shop as fruit, to the juicers to make Biodynamic Organic Apple Juice and to the cider makers to make our our Biodynamic / Organic Cider. Strawberries grown in the garden are used in Laverstoke Park Strawberry Ice Cream.

We’ve also got a seven-acre composting site shredding green waste for our gardening products, which are certified organic by the Soil Association and biodynamic by Demeter. We check and monitor CO2 levels daily and ensure temperatures remain below 65°C, so you get a living product filled with healthy bacteria and fungi – perfect for improving your garden soil. Our active mulch is a combination of Laverstoke compost and virgin wood. Our peat-free compost is made with green waste and manures composted to the highest PAS 100 standards.
