Laverstoke Park has its own Butcher's Shop which is open to the Public and the Catering Trade.

We only sell meat that we produce on the farm.

We have beef, water buffalo, pork, wild boar, lamb, poultry and local game. From top quality cuts of meat to sausages, pates, pies and other delicious produce. We have a quality range of our farm-made chutneys, relishes and jams. We also have organic cheeses from selected suppliers. Soon, we hope to be producing our own cheese and dairy products.

Beef and Water Buffalo

Our two beef breeds are the undoubted classics of traditional beef in the UK. They are the Aberdeen Angus and the Hereford, they provide us with premium beef through the year. Click to read out more about our CATTLE and how we rear them. Or, for something different, how about trying our WATER BUFFALO ? They may not be so well known in the UK, but are very popular around the world.

Pork and Wild Boar

We have selected fine traditional breeds in the Middlewhite, the Saddleback and the Kune-Kune. These priovide us with truly excellent pork. Read more about our PIGS and how they are grown. For something different, we also have WILD BOAR, the original pig, and which just happens to provide excellent meat as well.

Lamb

For succulent tender lamb we have chosen Hebrideans, Lleyns and Polled Dorset. They all provide excellent eating. Read more about our SHEEP and how we keep them.

Poultry

At Laverstoke Park we keep a wide range of slow grown chicken, duck, turkey, and geese. They have wonderful flavoursome meat. Click to find out more about our POULTRY and how we rear them for longer.

Meat Produce

We make our own sausages, hams, pies and pastries, as well as our speciality beef and buffalo biltong.

Game

Please ask at the shop about availability of our local game.

Cheese

We stock a range of organic cheeses sourced from selected suppliers. Soon we hope to make cheese from our milk which we will offer to the public.

Location and Contact Details

The Butcher's Shop is located about 2 miles south of OVERTON in Hampshire.

Directions

From BASINGSTOKE, take the B3400 west to OVERTON, at the traffic lights in OVERTON take Winchester Road south for approximately 2 miles. You will find the Shop on the left.

From LONDON take the M25, join the M3 south. Then take the A303 west at junction 8. Take the exit for Micheldever Station and OVERTON, head north towards OVERTON and you will find the Butcher's Shop on the right after about 1 mile.
