The Food
The philosophy of producing slow-grown food for taste and healthiness is continued through to the cooking process. For example we will roast whole animals on spits, using red-hot charcoals as our ancestors have done for thousands of years; naturally and slowly so that they self baste, producing moist, succulent meat.
To partner this taste experience perfectly, we use all our own salads and vegetables (in season), from the organic walled garden and surrounding fields, picked and prepared the same day of the event to ensure optimum freshness and maximum vitality.
The feast is normally finished with traditional puddings, such as crumbles, tarts and sponges with seasonal fruit, again from the garden and accompanied by our own delicious buffalo milk ice creams.
The end result is a truly memorable gastronomic experience !

Recent Events
This autumn we arranged a party of 60 hosted by Mr & Mrs Robinson who wrote to us;
"We would like to thank you all for providing us with such a superb evening. The presentation and taste of the food was excellent ...... the event ran smoothly and our guests enjoyed the best food on such a perfect night."
This is one of our Hebridean lambs spit-roasted for five hours, served with mixed salads from the walled garden, accompanied by a selection of homemade pickles and relishes.
