Biodiversity

Grass Leys - To further help improve the soil and provide a “mixed salad” for our animals, we have planted our own complex mixture of 31 different herbs clovers and grasses.

Hedges & Trees - We continue to expand the natural biodiversity and we have planted approximately 13km of new hedges and over 130,000 locally native trees.

Our Farm Animals - Virtually all the animals that you will see on the farm are rare or traditional breeds because they are smaller and slower growing which we believe is healthier.

Animal Food - We grow and produce our own feeds as much as possible for our animals as we believe that what you feed the animals is eventually what you feed yourself. Approximately 300 acres are utilised for cereals and small grain production for animal feed, however the primary food is our grasses.
