Natural Buffalo Milk
About Buffalo Milk:
Buffalo milk is a totally natural
product that can be consumed like any other milk. Time after time, participants
in tasting trials select buffalo milk in preference to cows', goats' and
artificially manufactured milks. They just love the taste!
About
Our Buffalo:
Our Water Buffalo originate from South Asia where they
have been domesticated for thousands of years. They are very tame, friendly and
curious creatures who love human contact. Currently we have over 1500 buffalo on
our and our partner farms. Several of these buffalo are almost 20 years
old!
The Milk is Pasteurised but not Homogenised
Buffalo milk is a totally natural product that can be used like any other milk. You may have seen it on sale in Waitrose, where it is a popular alternative to cow’s milk, goat milk and soya.
Buffalo Milk - taste the difference
In blind tasting trials, our buffalo milk comes out tops again and again – people just love the taste. We’re delighted that, thanks to some nifty new packaging, we can now offer our buffalo milk by mail order for everyone to enjoy.

What Ocado & Waitrose customers have said about our buffalo milk
For Health Reasons...
For health reasons, I was advised to avoid cows' dairy products. I tried this milk and it is delicious. Even better for me is that fact that my 2 yr old daughter loves it too, didn't wince when I changed her milk from cow to buffalo.

Pricey ... but worth it for my child
I have no idea what this tastes like. I have never tasted it. It's way too expensive for me to indulge. BUT for my 3.5 year old son and my breast-feeding wife there is no better milk ! We order 15 cartons every week and stress when Ocado don't have it in stock. We often go into Bluewater Waitrose and completely clean them out. My son has gone from the 5th percentile to the 50th for his weight in the space of a few months while he has been on this. When we run out we sometimes supplement organic cow's milk with the Buffalo Mozzarella from the same brand. Over THREE times the price of organic cows milk .. but worth every penny for my children.

A nice alternative to cow/goat's milk
This milk really is delicious and very 'clean' tasting if, like me, you find that goat's milk seems to leave a bit of an aftertaste. I like the fact that it hasn't been over-processed (unlike some organic milk) and is not homogenised. It does have creamy/lumpy bits (oddly enough they seem to be at the bottom rather than the top!) and you are advised to shake it vigorously beforehand, but I prefer to up-end it a few times rather than risk churning it into butter! Definitely best to drink cold or on top of cereals rather than adding to hot drinks as the fat does tend to separate.

I'm a HUGE fan. Laverstoke's Buffalo Milk is wonderfully creamy. Great in sauces and coffee. If you're following an AiA diet and are alergic to diary products you might find that you are okay with Buffalo. Obviously recommend you confirm medically. I can't have cows/soya/rice/goats/sheep or any of the other alternatives but have no ill effects strangely with Buffalo and haven't developed any antigens. Try the diary products - you'd be mad not to for health reasons alone. If you're a heavy tea drinker try the semi its a better taste.
Thinner than dairy milk but does not clump as some people have said.
A pleasent taste.
We are eternally greatful at the availability of this wholesome milk alternative. My 5 year old has been drinking it for about 2 years now because he can't drink cows milk. It wasn't until we found this product that he started to grow and put on weight......so it's worth every penny. Thank you.
