Like beef fillet steak, this is the most tender and mild of all the cuts. Buffalo is very similar to beef with a slightly darker colour and more meaty flavour.

I'm an expert at cooking steaks so, with the grill on maximum, I cooked mine for 5 mins each side and my wife's for 10 mins each side, as I like rare & she likes well done. It was delicious and tender, but with a characteristic taste which you don't get with beef - it had that gamey flavour that venison has and you either like this flavour or hate it - I like it!

The fillet which was delivered in the sealed packages was fantastic. Very tender, easy to cook and got rave reviews from the family. Unfortunately 4 of the fillets were delivered wrapped in paper and even in the short time it was stored in the fridge before being used, it has browned and deteriorated.
Please could you only send me sealed fillets as the difference in quality was very marked.

Yum. I marinaded the steaks in organic fermented soy sauce and freshly ground black pepper for about five hours and fried them in butter with mushrooms. Served with homemade Yorkshire puds and roasted broccoli. I am a very popular wife and mother this week. The steaks were flavourful and tender with the most amazing texture on the tongue. We will definitely be coming back for more!

The buffalo steaks were succulent and delicious a complete success at our dinner party and a real talking point. Expect more orders soon.
The steak was panfried with a light dusting of black pepper. I like my steak medium and cooked 3 mins per side as directed I've never had Buffalo meat before and I thought it much nicer than beef. I liked the delicate meaty flavour and the tenderness of the meat.
Now I have found Laverstoke park Farm I will not be purchasing meat from anywhere else
Fantastic flavour and texture. By far the best fillet steak I've eaten.
So tasty & tender, just cook until pink and it melts in you mouth. Every bit as good as beef fillet steak.
3 minutes each side on a very hot cast-iron griddle, allowed to settle for 3 minutes.....absolutely sublime, melt in the mouth, best fillet of any kind I've ever eaten & that includes some of the best from Argentina
